What to expect from post-construction cleaning
June 3, 2026 · Alina Mejía Giraldo
After a renovation or build, the visible debris is only half the story. Fine construction dust settles into every surface, corner and vent, and ordinary cleaning just pushes it around. Here’s what a proper post-construction clean involves.
It’s about the fine dust
Drywall and sanding dust is incredibly fine and gets everywhere. A post-construction clean methodically removes it from surfaces, fixtures, baseboards, window frames and floors so it doesn’t keep resettling for weeks.
What’s typically included
- Fine-dust removal from all surfaces, top to bottom.
- Baseboards, moldings, door and window frames detailed.
- Interior windows, sills and tracks.
- Fixtures, switches and appliance exteriors wiped.
- Floors vacuumed and mopped; remaining debris removed.
Timing matters
Post-construction cleaning is best done once all the work is finished and large debris is cleared. For homes and businesses across Kanata and Ottawa West, we’ll scope the job and send a free quote so your new space is ready to use.
